Now everyone’s posting about how Suyin might be a traitor and on one hand I feel like

But then I remember that she and her sons were literally the only one dressed. Even Korra was in her pajamas and that’s something we’ve never seen before and suddenly a tiny detail like that makes me think

crap

I don’t want to believe it either. And actually her twin sons were in their PJs too, but I guess that still doesn’t explain why Su was fully dressed.

LoK: Book 2 vs Book 3

I’m really starting to get annoyed with all the reviews claiming that the Legend of Kora writers finally fixed what was wrong with season two. It’s just funny to me how so many people hated book 2 and swore they would never watch another episode of LOK but now all of a sudden it’s awesome. THESE HOES AIN’T LOYAL!

They complained about everything from the art, the storyline, to the character developments. And now that Korra and Asami are friends everything’s all good and people like it again (-_____-). Unlike some idiotic viewers I know better than to judge any kind of series before it’s finished. We’re literally in the middle of the series and folks are still complaining because the main aren’t perfect and have yet to find their true path in life. Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe the main characters were supposed to be immature and all over the place in book 2 so we could actually see how much they’ve grown and progressed individually by the time we get to the end of book 4? And the comparisons to ATLA do nothing but further piss me off. People continuously complain about how Lok’s development is a huge disappointment compared to ATLA, ignoring the fact that Korra has half the time to accomplish what took over 60 episodes of Avatar to achieve.

I’ve always trusted that the writers knew what they were doing and that everything that happens is for a reason, even if it takes a while to realize it. If something happens that I don’t agree with or fully understand then instead of insulting the quality of the show and jumping ship I’m going to trust that by the end everything will make sense and work out for the better.

can we just talk about how fucking great asami is? like honestly, with all the shit she’s been through, she still smiles, she stays loyal to her friends, and she still looks fucking flawless. korra stole her boyfriend, twice (okay so technically the second time korra didn’t know but still) and she…

You do know when Korra and Mako kissed on the last episode of book 1 he had already broken up with Asami right? It may not have been the smoothest, but you could defiantly tell it was over. Korra was wrong for kissing him in the 5th episode and that will never change. However, it just annoys me when people say Korra stole Mako from Asami. Even though these are fictional characters they are portraying real people. You can’t steal a human being away from another one. Mako is allowed to change his feelings, but I still wish he would have been up front and honest about his confusion instead of leading Asami on.

I’m not a huge Asami fan, but even I have to admit she was pretty badass in book 1. For the life of me Idk why they decided to completely destroy that in this book. Season one she was strong, intelligent, independent, and fierce. This season comes and she literally can’t function right without clinging to Mako for support. It was pathetic how dependent and desperate she was. After her father’s betrayal she should have known better than to be overly trusting solely based on appearances. She could have went all undercover spy and discovered for herself that Varrick was just using her. She could have been the one to prove Mako’s innocence and get through to Bolin. But no, her only contribution this whole season has been to add ridiculous relationship drama and serve as the team’s chauffeur.

Why are you blaming Korra for something that’s Mako’s fault? Yea she kissed him the first season but he rejected her & she let it go. Now it’s not her fault he was denying his true feelings for her the entire time. Korra didn’t steal anyone, Mako’s a big boy & can make his own decisions. Korra can’t magically make someone fall in love with her. And obviously Asami doesn’t care THAT much about Korra seeing as she jumped on her ex less than 24 hours after they broke up. Justified or not that was still a shitty move that I wouldn’t do to anyone I called friend. Just because team avatar cares about one another’s safety doesn’t mean they actually give a crap about each other’s feelings. And that applies to everyone in the group.

Unpopular opinion: Korra and Asami should not become friends right away in Book 3

endlessdiamondsky:

I want Korra and Asami to be friends…eventually. I want them to have a relationship with one another that is not related to their love triangle with Mako. BUT before that happens, I think there should be some discussion about that love triangle and what happened. Asami never stood up for herself…

I do agree there should be some kind of conversation between them first and apologizes need to be made on both parts. Korra never addressed how much she hurt Asami in book 1 but Asami also has to realize that making moves on Mako who wasn’t even 24 hours fresh out of a 6 month relationship wasn’t going to end well. That showed me that Asami never respected Korra or her relationship. Even though Asami is justified in not particularly caring about Korra’s feelings I just think it would have added immense maturity to her character had she at least waited a minute to hook back with Mako. Sadly these two just don’t give a flip about each other.

Alright, I mustered up the courage to ask a staff member about what the fate of Masami might have been over the events of Book 2’s final four episodes. As usual, it was Will Ruzicka I asked, as he’s very responsive when it comes to asks, so he replied with this:

“It’s probably best if I let you…

How did korra come between them a second time? It’s not her fault she lost part of her memory. Asami should have known better then to start up a relationship with the ex who cheated on her one week after his 6 month relationship with Korra was over. Your supposed to learn from your mistakes NOT repeat them. Korra doesn’t owe Asami anything. It wasn’t Korra’s fault that Mako was denying his true feelings for her in book 1 & it wasn’t korra’s fault that Asami stupidly tried to initiate another relationship with Mako the first minute she heard Korra was no longer in the picture. Even though I believe both Asami & Mako are equally to blame, he does still owe her some type of apology, but Korra absolutely & positively DOES NOT.

Book 3 Ships

As a makorra shipper I’m strangely ok about the break up. In fact I’m a little excited. He was starting to drag her down anyway plus she’s due for an upgrade. I can’t really see borra or tahnorra but I really hope they put her with Iroh. The chemistry between them is undeniable. I first saw it after she saved him from drowning in season one. You could see the look of gratitude & admiration on his face. I know a lot of people put Iroh with Asami which is weird because they haven’t even said two words directly to each other. Iroh seems to genuinely care about Korra.

I found it funny how Mako wasn’t willing to risk his job to help Korra but Iroh was. That is until Mako went all snitch bitch on them. I do want to see Tahno come back & join the team. As matter of fact Iroh & Tahno should just totally replace Mako & Asami. Mako’s character literally adds nothing but relationship drama & fire power while Asami is only there to be the team’s chauffeur. We don’t need anymore relationship drama, Korra has 10X the fire power Mako will ever have, & Iroh can kick ass & operate the mechanics. I also want to see Bolin become more independent but I don’t want him to lose his native charm. I don’t care what anyone says every group needs that one goofy person who’s always optimistic & there to lighten the mood.
